Right chaps....Ive got another garage to do
Its basicly a board and skim but its below "living space" its already insulated and the existing joists are there..
So i was going to use 12.5mm fireretardent boards and skim as normal...
would this be ok? if so what are the ideal boards to use i.e make etc

if you use to many fireline you could make it too hotty scotty.......:RpS_laugh:

OH...Just another quick one....ive never skimmed on fireline boards before...any different to normal boards with regards to hangtime?

Yeah they can hang a bit more than normal, sometimes get a bit of a flash set at the end. Use board finish.

Pretty sure you can get a moisture resistant/fire check board put that up and don't skim it unless you know the room will never fall below 5 degrees then just use fire check and skim skim skimmidy ....look out mind its plasterboard

Sorry I forgot. Disregard what I said, staple cardboard to the joists and fling cow s**t at it. Dont forget to scrim first though.
