Several years ago I married a wonderful woman who owned an old house in the Deep South. What I didn’t know at the time was when I said “I do” at the wedding ceremony what I really was saying was “I will”. Here in the States we have very few Plasterers, and those that are available are too costly for us. I’ve been teaching myself how to put up plaster by working with professional Plasterers (the ones we can’t afford) and by reading your posts here on this forum. So forgive me in advance for my novice questions, here in the States they don’t teach the art like they do overseas, probably because 99% of the jobs here are Sheetrock rather than lime plaster. I’ve seen countless homes where beautiful lime plaster walls are knocked out to be replaced by Sheetrock only because there are no Craftsmen to do restoration.
