Advice sought, render behind bell drip bead!

Hi All

Please can I ask for advise.

I have a small extension. Project managed and used different suppliers. The windows were fitted and then the external walls were rendered by a different company. The render has a bell /stop drip but behind this I can still see the foam used by the window company so am not sure how to finish this off. Should it not have been part of the render?

My boyfriend says just paint it black but I do not agree and think it needs to be finished/sealed properly.

Does anyone know the best way for me to rectify this? Which trade to get in to do it if it's not a DIY job?

Many thanks for your advice.

Jenny

the render is not great. from the photos it looks like the drip bead has been fitted above the back edge of the window frame. i would have tidied the back edge of the bead with render as i don't like to see it not finished.
some builders stick a plastic cover over the gap.

Understand that is doing your head in
Could cover it over with a trim same colour as the (charcoal grey?) frame?
