Hi guys,

I'm wanting to get something like this done in my house but the plasterer I use said it may be difficult as cement will crack. Anyone have an idea how to do the curved internal walls inside the fireplace here on the left and right?

Thanks in advance

Get him to use a bullnose corner trowel or abit of guttering plastic bag etc to form the curved corners, if your having a log burner in then there is a plaster for fireplaces by vitcas but it’s horrible to use
Any plasterer that takes that job on using Victus wants to give his head a wobble.

FFs, standard lime plastering job. Why would the bend crack any more than the flat bits?
If its' that far from the stove it is not going to crack, the beam is more likely to burn than that crack.
Any plasterer should be able to do that.
