I know its not plaster re;ated but I thought I'd let you know what addiction can do to you so you dont make the same mistake. I had a lovely wife and nice in Lydiate with two young girls 2 and 5. My work was doing good but I got bored and strated spending more and more money on drugs and gambling so much so that I maxed out the credit cards without the wife knowing and then ailiffs started calling. Then overnight I lost it all and we split and Ijust found out today shes going for a divorce and has some young lad living with her and my kids. So be happy with what you've got. I was addcited to gambling porn, drugs, anything. It can happen to anyone so be carefull

to be fair any addiction/compulsion can be difficult to shake.
especially if your the sort of person with an addictive personality.
for example my mate has to keep his buckets lined up in asscending height order, swap them round a bit and he flips the script proper ocd.

The thing is it's how you react now to bring yourself back up I've lost one Mrs and had to fight to see my boy it went on for ages but gradually if your strong enough u can bounce back no point feeling sorry for yourself it's done can't be changed so dust yourself down and get a clear head, what your find now though is everyone will have an opinion but not a solution find your own path now

@Lodan it's a joke mate
Doubt it is mate, people with addiction are famous for going somewhere annonymous to vent...hence why AA is so successful...so easy to define and accept your faults when you can walk away and leave those admissions without them impacting your real life

get up, get out in the real world, and kick that b*****d as hard as you can in the teeth(y)

ive had addiction problems. with gambling. took me years to overcome them. i found the more you tried to overcome them, the more difficult it was. sounds weird, but if you think don't look at that girl's tits, don't look at that girl's tits ... what are you going to do? look at her tits. don't tell yourself not to do it, don't try and find something to distract you. just sit there when the urge appears and do nothing. look down on yourself and see yourself trying to do nothing.. bit hard to expain to be honest

I agree...look up urge surfing that describes what your saying...aknowledge a craving and view it from an outside perspective and accept it is what it is and theres nothing you can do other than let it pass you by

consider myself a very very honest man so here goes,.......once went into the bookies placed a bet and won 39,000 quid,....... once went into a bookies won 2,500 ,next day i lost the lot,......7 days later on holiday in york i wrote a bet out 100.00 win on a 25/1 shot ,...then changed my mind ,cancelled the bet and made another bet,.... guess what the 25/1 shot won ,...... talking to another plasterer last week tells me him and his wife have never had an arguement in 15 years of marriage, load of b*ll***s i said just do not believe it.what i am saying is we all have made mistakes in our lives anybody who says they have not are liars i am being honest,....i have no idea who sponker is but very concerned for him,.......at least he is being honest

I'm a man with an addictive personality so I have to be careful with what I like or get involved in I'm not a massive drinker but when I do I keep going til I can't no more some say that's normal but it's small things like saying I be home at 5 never happens and crap like that I have never woken up and thought I need a beer though I can leave a bookies easy £5 is top I go had issue years ago with certain things but that's another story,we all got problems but some can deal with some can't, when my ex walked out on me I lost everything flat car couldn't see my boy she stopped all that van broke down then got broke into and all my tools stolen got knocked for over 4K it was a bad time but now I got through it and look at life in a different way, some need group help some need good mates some deal with alone what I found was so many people are quick to judge others, now though I've helped a few people deal with there stuff and problems not by judging but by being honest

Defo they say make hay while sun shines f**k that I will earn it and spend it

Plastering has always been a "dangle a fuucking big juicy carrot in your face"
Why are most here doin it ??
Get up when want ...home when you want ..
Smoke when you want ..tax rebates..greed.
No cuunt looking over your shoulder etc.
When you get older you realise ..no holiday pay no pension too tired for the kids....
But fuuck it i wouldnt change it !!

I am still trading and doing very well from it at the moment.... Jane manages the account and takes out the profits...

I make losses but on the day it's always up and as soon as I don't feel like it or I make silly mistakes I walk away.

It's all down to greed... and that is something I have had to over come.. set my target profit then get out when I hit it and also set a stop loss as well...

I have an addictive personality as well but seem to manage it well enough.

I don't think it's a fake account and even if it is I am sure there are other plasterers reading this in a very similar boat
