Hi we have a builder coming today, he put scotrend on our garage when he was instructed to do krend. His solution is to apply Enewall acyrilic render over what’s there. Do you think this is the best solution? What would you guys recommend? The original job he did needs a bit of leveling and is not particularly flat. Unfortunately we paid him £1200 of the £2000 agreed before noticing the wrong product was applied. Doh!

He could use a thin coat render to level the wall up then acrylic but if he cant get the scotrend level he probably cant level up a thin coat render either.

If the scotrend he's put on is rough don't let him continue, scotrend is a basic sand and cement prebagged if he can't get that flat forget it. Ask for your money back and get someone who knows what they're doing like a renderer not a builder.

Was it a new garage? did he use mesh in the basecoat?
