Aches and pains

I thought it would be nice having some time off over Christmas, I wasn't prepared for all the little aches and pains though, I feel ten years older, reckon I should go to work and work it out the body. Anyone feel like that? I'm in my mid 40s and doc said my arthritis is in an advanced stage, pfff I'm ok if I don't stop I say.

I'm doing light stretching and exercises every day of the hols, trying not to seize up. I'm like a Thorobred me, kept cosseted and all nice and warm.:)

Plastering isn't exercise. Just because u plaster don't be thinking you are fit no fitter then any other trade.

I've been a lazy b*****d this year, really should start training again, miss it, but same time can't be f**k*d lol

Why do I ache like f**k then?

If you were fitter you mightnt ache as much
I'm only half fit but started a bit of training again this year after only a few weeks I noticed less tiredness and little aches from work

Maybe it was that beating I took boxing night!

I did sod all xmas eve, day and boxing day. Muscles started to ache.

Did 40 minutes of youtube yoga yesterday and felt a lot better. Washed car, truck today and a bit of gardening, feeling a lot better.

Dread the thought of retiring, I'll seize up.

When u say that, most days I wake up my backs stiff as f**k, but rarely annoys me at work, as I've loosened up by that stage. Tbf we should Likely all be doing back and shoulder exercises by rights, but I bet not too many of us do.

The other "dry" trades might not have the stamina, explosive power, good looks and downright s*x appeal of us plasterers............but they'll likely have less aches and pains, and after their days work could fit in a bit of a jog or visit the gym........I'm just about smoked if I've done a good day on the trowel.
As we all know, plastering is a "s**t or bust" occupation, once started, a hit has to be finished. Other trades have the luxury of being able to stop/start at will.

Is you tube yoga another name for watching internet porn?...... ;)

I have had chronic back ache all year but after some advice off a member on here that was older than me I went to yoga classes. Dreaded it as it is usually all women but luckily it was 40% male 30's to 50's.

Did me a world of good. But unfortunately the downward dog gave me vertigo so had to stop going. But go on YouTube and put in yoga for back pain and it will give you relief but you will feel worse before you get better.

You need to do it daily.
