Can I k rend a plinth with just 1 coat, no base coat? The builder wants me to just put top coat straight on blocks with no backing coat, is this okay?

Putting it on with a fukin spade is good enough for 90 % of bellend builders . So yes is the answer

You can one coat k1 but give it a few years it’ll crack or ghost
