I know its not to spec etc...but sometimes people just want things tarting up a bit around these parts...

For example if you have some render with the odd crack, flakey paint/maybe bit crumbly in parts etc...

Do you recon as an economy fix aposed to just re-painting you could prime and put a silicone texture over...obviously it aint upto specs etc..

Just thinking of cheap for chip solutions for all the scutters that I get calls for that are never in a million yrs pay for full hack offs etc

ive sprayed a 1 m2 on the side of my place straight on to a painted wall a month ago and can't scrape it off if that helps

There are systems on the market for this. If your not sure about the background u can use a gummy primer thats a bridging and stabilising primer then you can texture etc but if u get any loose off shud be fine

Am trying this out this week bud, just a wee test panel to see how it holds up over the winter. On my own house of course

I'd put a tight coat of parinter as said,
Your wall is going to have to be mint to attempt it, as if your using anything 1.5mm or less and there's any slacks or peaks in the wall you'll get blemishes in the top coat. The general rule of thumb is the bigger the grain the more forgiving it is.

I did a insulation job a couple of months ago and sprayed 1.5 silicone over the painted walls so it all matched.
I power washed and primed them first and they look good when finished.
I would do it again
