Speaking to someone and they said about using a flexi bucket to mix plaster and don't bother cleaning...just let it go hard and the flex from bucket breaks the plaster off? Anyone do this lol? Seems as if it'd work but bucket's a bit more rigid at the base so just wondered anyone do same

Before I plaster the artex kitchen ceiling, which has to be about 30-40 years old! Is it worth while scrubbing with sugar soap? I will Anyway but Just thought to ask to see if any other suggestions?
