    Bagged basecoats

I'm trying different bagged basecoats for jobs instead of the usual 4/1 sc. So far I think Alsecco have some nice stuff. Just a shame their delivery charge is so high. Anyway I've got a nice autumn leaf stippled render job starting and wanted to know if any of you lads out there would recommend...

    Sponge float ?

Board finish gibbo. Used to be a dark red with little black grits in. You could just give it a couple of flattens and a little bit of water to finish .Nice stuff used ti pick up a bit though
  20. THE20INCHLOVER

    Sponge float ?

I think another reason why people use the sponge is the difference in board finish over the past 20 years.I remember it being a nice dark red a bit gritty and it didn't take much water to finish. The plaster it's self done all the work. The stuff that's coming out the bags now is shiney and...

    Sponge float ?

We use a different trowel for putting on. Then a different one for sponge And a different one for final . Certain trowels at certain stages of the set really come into there own. You would never me admitting this a while back. It was strictly flat brush,Mt ss and Mt carbon. Always has and...

    Sponge float ?

Let's get down to business. If you are going over plasterboard and you know what your doing. One coat sponge will earn you decent money.no matter how low the prices go. If you do 3 quick gauges you will earn ok money. If you do 4 quick quages you will earn decent money. Remember it's all about...

    CPI Euromix Render

Just started using it mate. Not too impressed to be fair. I've used it on two jobs this weekend as a basecoat but I don't think I will top with it as some of the lads have said its full of boulders.I've seen lads use it on the new aldi in fazakerly and it was a so so finish.

    cpi euromix standard render

Lets not talk about 3mm.ive been doing a few test samples with 3mm top coat and can I hell rub it up. Phoned up supplier in and they told me the best way to achieve acceptable finish was with timber battern or eps??? So gave it a go and it still looks shocking.so order in 2mm and going to spray...

You're correct it was mp finish not mp 75. There seems to be a bit of it going in the north west atm so Id like me and my team to learn it. The prices are pretty good so there. Must be a shortage of applicators up these parts. What's the market like were you guys are at? . I've spoken to...
