    Multi Finish on Multi Finish

Look sorry dude. I am just trying to say. That in college where I learnt about plastering, we did not go over the details of fixing work like this. I don't understand, told what? I wasn't told anything on this, that's why I posted the thread... I was at Highbury College. Does it make a...

    Multi Finish on Multi Finish

Hey Evening, I am a plasterer trained at college, so haven't come over this problem yet. I arrived on site today to hear that a decorators customer had a bad plaster job done. I went to have a look this evening, just got back and put my dinner on. :p I have a photo of this "cowboy" work and...

    Neater Ceiling Edges

Thanks Danny. 3" was cut down to about between 1" and 0.5" but it worked a lot cleaner. I took this advice on board, and just used a bit of masking tape to tape the wall about 6mm down from the ceiling. The tape stopped splashing and the customer doesn't see sponge marks, the advice you gave...

    Exterior Solid Wall

I have a job on for a Solid Exterior Wall. There are Settlement cracks on there, well its an old building, the client asked to fill in these cracks which I will rake out and fill in. She's stated she doesn't want any evidence of the fact that they have been repaired (as seen in many crack jobs)...

    Neater Ceiling Edges

Hey, quite new to forums. But willing to ask for any advice. :) I skimmed a 4x4m ceiling today and look good, except the edges which I splattered down, an inch on every wall, seem to have done this before. I work alone, sometimes just feel a bit rushed and focus too much on trying to get the...

    Your work bench ?

Thanks. Thats great info. I have a bench in my garage , its long enough, but its not wide enough, and I was just thinking of altering it, or better yet making a new one specifically for running moulds. The current one has too many cracks, dents and chips to create decent runs without the plaster...

How easy is it to skim over or remove Venitian? Just use a chisel and lump hammer?

    Your work bench ?

No I am not a Fibrous Plasterer, because all I have done is running coving and casting roses from rubber moulds in college, which isnt really much compared to a full time professional. I wanted to know What Bench do you use and whats its dimensions, and what wood (or material) is it made...

    Your work bench ?

I am just asking Fibrous Plasterers to post some pictures of their benches. That is all. If you work from home or studio this is better. Because I am thinking exactly how people cope in their shops. What dimensions are your benches and what wood are they made from? I haven't met anyone who runs...

interest in this side of plastering

Venetian Plastering looks really classical, Its worth it if you can afford the tuition by GoldTrowel because generally there are fewer people that can create venetian plaster as good as its supposed to look, after your tuition you can charge extra for your skills. Venetian Plastering looks...

New member looking for work in Isle of Wight, South East.

I've been updating my website and spending sometime on the internet so thought I should get in touch with you guys here on the plasterers forums because its useful to share information, or get advice last minute. There is little information for plasterers, such as wikis, and things, but its...
