Evening all. Why is it that pva doesn't seem to work on hardwall that's been applied and allowed to fully dry out. I gave a couple of walls at least 3 full coats (not neat pva, but hardly watered down) tonight and it still had me in a flap! Got there in the end though (emergency sponge...

Have been asked by a builder mate of mine to provide a "church finish" to a barn conversion. Apparently the rougher the better, just wanted any thoughts really on what type of finish this is and how you might go about achieving it??
