    Are ocr's any good though have you ever used any there's quite a few Hanson, Weber etc there's also eco rend so don't know what to use.the walls are also spalling so I'm going to have to rake out the joints God give me strength if not I'll top myself

    Another student plasterer who didn't even want to be a plasterer if it wasn't for him i would of qualified. but karma got him a few years later he came off a motorbike and suffered brain damage resulting in memory problems not recognizing people etc he's still alive somewhere.

    It was 22yrs ago in college we didn't use ratios yet just sand and lime to mimic render if I'd stayed longer I wouldn't be asking sadly I was kicked out for fighting.

    Hi how would you plaster over an RSJ. on here there's a librarian who had a botched plastering job done and was just wondering how it's done. would you use angle bead to repair corner or just plaster up to a feather edge cheers.

    i agree with what your saying its just a money issue im not trying to do a cowboy job if i cant find ayone cheap enough then im just gonna try some hydraulic lime mortar since it dries faster as for other special lime mortars which can take a year or more to set i wouldn't be able to cover up...

    Hi is it common practice to grind out old brick cement joints when putting a scratch coat on external wall as I was told I need to do this so the render sits in the joints .if so what depth would you grind them out to. any help appreciated u.k
