Hello Lads ive got a small room to vandex The walls are sand and cement with a matt paint on it.Can i vandex straight onto this and then sand and cement and skim or would i ave to pin EML to the walls first?Cheers for any replies.Matt.

Was havin a chat with an old spread yesterday,He started in 1976 and still going ! He was saying the old SIRPHITE (grey in colour) would set very quickly and they would add cream of tatar to slow the setting time down and it was referred to as "that shite that sets on yer hawk" Lol ;D

Did a ceiling a few years back - pva and skim, got a call following morning the lot had come down - artex and skim ! was told this is due to the odd occation of them putting lime in artex, Any-one had this prob ?
Hi Lads got some ceilings to skim combe effect artex.Done plenty of skiming over the artex that needs scraping back,I just wanted some views wether be best to bond these ceilings out first and skim or a couple of thick finish over them would come out fine.Thanks in advance Matt. ???

Hi lads on wide curved walls no problem using a trowel and get a good finish. When it comes to those thin cuves
i use a thin strip of plastic off a carrier bag and run it up and down the wall is their any other way to do this ? Thanks for any help.
got a job on monday to skim bed ceiling which has a small hole all so the walls have some patching to do chasing etc gonna use one coat for patching work,would this plaster be ok to stick a piece of p/board into ceiling? I would norm use bonding
