What makes you a good plasterer?

I rock up to my domestic jobs in my wedding suit and tie looking like I own the world. My trowles are all in my modified briefcase (old trunk from boarding school) Customers think I'm the mutts nuts.

    internal insulation board application

tvp30, i use the basic and the plus quite often, if i use thermo+ i make sure the walls are flat & free from snots, dust & then unibon and use the foam adhesive(very strong bond), the thermo basic can be dabeddabed on. There are more methods of fixing but these are what i use and well.

    Some idiots in the game

Ha Ha my customer thought he'd do me a massive favour by painting 3 walls I have to skim with thistle bond-it. One of them over wall paper. Did'nt have the heart to tell him so i'll see if it takes a skim tomorrow. Exciting hey, cool stuff like this hardly ever happens to me!!!!

    Can I use...

Thank you Nisus, I could not have said it better. The reason it has s/c and gypsum is because a couple of cowboys tackled the job in the late 80's and the shop has been empty ever since. You will all be happy to know the whole building, inside and out is getting the TLC she once had 600 years ago.

    Lime pricing

Cheers render systems, that is exactly the price I came to, Lab only. I've quoted on proper lime render/3 coats, yes. Why can I only find suppliers down south. £65/per pallet delivery charge. None in the midlands.

    Lime pricing

Hi, I'm pricing up a 3 coat lime job onto stone, internal on a listed property. I usually give a day rate on this type of work, the customer has asked for a square metre price( 50 square meters) The lime will be pre mixed so no fussing about with stripping hair and adding to mix. But I'll...

    websites again

Danny is correct, SEO is not easy to get right and a lot of web design companies don't get it right/can't get it right. I don't pay a single penny for my sites high ranking, I paid a fair price for the design and SEO and I made the money back 3 times over on my first job from the website. It...

    Glass fibre

Had a spread helping me on a job today, plastering a dodgy diy'ers attempt at boarding on battons. Springy as hell. Anyway told the diy'er that the boards are pretty flexable and the plaster is not. He said no probs just plaster the room... cool. My spread goes to his van and brings back some...
