Ive just been to look at a job and the chimney breast is all mouldy caused by water coming in down the chimney, there getting it capped or whatever needs doing. Right the question I'm getting at is will the brickwork need treating with anything once ive hacked of the plaster to stop the mould...

yeah its dear tho, £14 for a 3kg tub which looks like about 2.5l to me and it doesnt seem to go very far. brushed it on quite sparingly on about 8m2 and got about an inch left in the tub.

i used that wba yesterday on a wall with different backgrounds, glossy paint, old plaster and bonding, painted it on first thing in the morning and it took ages to dry..probs 5 hours on the painted surface but it was a joy to skim loads of time and dried out evenly. Its good if you've got stuff...

phoned about that rendering job to ask if i could pass there number on to you rockhardsolid, but there not havin it done now? dont know why it was f***ed

if its the waterbased stuff it should cover ok, did 1 about 3 years ago painted it on threw abit of sand at it, bonded and skimmed..still good today
