Hi blones, The finish with a splatter box compared with trowel is way better. The finish is perfectly even, no marks where it has been thrown on which you can see with some roughcasters where its hurled on. Also you dont have to wait for it to stiffen up before you wet dash it. So its much quicker.

Looks like it would be brilliant for wet dash and you wont be so ****** at the end of the day. Do you think you would give it a go with wet dash? probably not much different from a tyrolean gun that what a lot of people uses now for wet dash. Cheers

thanks for advice whats a d42 is that a clamped r and s and is faster or slower than a d63 twister. Why does that make a difference. Sorry new to machines and dont understand much about r and s's. There seems loads of them! Cheers

Thanks for advice guys. Aye bags were sitting in container for quite a while so may have got slightly damp. I shall try serrated edge. so do you guys rule off both coats then? I thought first pass was just to kill suction so just horsed over it quickly with a trowel.

A builder I sometimes work for once told me if you put freeflow on mullions and corner stones etc and throw sand on it you can brush it off at the end. Might try it some time to see if it works!
