Nope. The idiot who did it is now trying to say the bill was 10,800 and not the 8,500 Agreed and has counter claimed for more money. Waiting for a court date...
I don’t suppose there is anyone on here that is local ish to Southampton that would be willing to come and have a look and write a report on what they see the issues are? I don’t mind paying. I just need something in black/white to add to the evidence for a small claims.
That’s exactly my worry, I’ve since found out he folded a previous company and this is a new one with a slightly different name. I did pay the money into his personal account though, not business account. I’m not sure if that means I can claim from him directly
I know he must be out of pocket doing it twice, but I didn’t want it doing twice in the first place. I just wanted a nice finish.
We have £3000 left to pay him which isn’t going to get it redone....
We also have someone coming to give us a quote to clean up the patio, god knows how much that...
I will see what Wezly says when he comes over. The guy isnt going to give me any money back at all as he says he’s out of pocket doing it twice. I begrudge even paying£5500 for what I have been left with so I’m thinking court is the only option at this point.
I have wezly coming over next week to give us a quote to redo. He has another week to respond to our request for a refund and money to remove what’s currently on there.
Ok so the scaffold is down. Could I please have thought and opinions as to wether this is a 8and half grand finish? I genuinely don’t know if this is the kind of finish expected
Do you really have to be quite so offensive? I’ve had four months of stress and paid a lot of money for the privilege. I always try to see the best in people and think everyone deserves a second chance. I’ve given written notice to finish the work and I’m doing the right things now...
It’s now been over a week since the renderers have finished and nothing has been cleaned up bar the 3 first floor windows, my husband had to do the first floor door as the Juliette balcony was being refitted. We sent an email last Friday giving them 7 days to complete the job or we would find...
Did all of that the first time and the guy was full of assurances,”wanted to put it right” “wanted happy customers” but then what he says and does are on completely different pages...
Go on tell me what you would do.....I’m living in complete mess, treading through the house crap everyday, outside lights been disconnected for over a month. Have fallen down the steps on a couple of occasions as it’s pitch black, endless arguments with my husband. It’s kept me awake at night...
Nope still not sorted. Rendering done but hard to tell how the finish is as the scaffold still up. Not entirely happy with the window reveals but don’t know if I’m being too picky. Windows still covered in rock hard render. Patio covered in stains and waiting to see if it can be removed...
To be fair the colour looks much closer in shades now so could be fine in a few more weeks. I still hate the bar in the middle and hate that I had to have k rend. Still waiting for the mess to be cleaned up so will wait and see what damage is left.
I honestly can’t go through it all being hacked off and redone. It’s 4 months down the line. It’s an improvement on the last job although I never wanted the krend as I don’t like the sparkly bits. I just want the scaffold down and my home back. Thanks all for your advice
I’ve come home to the rendering almost finished on the rear of the house. I’m happier with it. Looks a lot straighter.:-) only bit I hate is the expansion bar I’m told was needed in the middle. Looks like two houses. Now just to wait for the scaffold down to see If the dreaded scaffold line can...
I’ve had a rep out who say they can’t comment on workmanship but it’s not a problem with the product. I’ve had an approved guy look at it and he just laughed mostly.... the new krend job is a couple of days from completion. We’ve only paid £5500 of what we owe so still have money held back.
