if it can be done...why do you think it took so long to get someone to advise that?..are people on here genuine dic*heads...or is it a learned response through repetition and reward?
so you saying to use browning plaster to stick the drywall sheets to the Porix/durox wall?....and what you mean by 'wait for plasterboard to fall off'?
ok thanks for that feedback...because the labour is free (me)..the cost of the additional adhesive is not a problem either...so you are saying that it is quite ok to 'dob and dab' the whole surface so i then get a solid plaster wall without any hollows etc?
i dont want to have someone come in to wet plaster it...and i dont have the skill or talent of a plasterer to do it myself that way.....so am looking at the dot and dab method but extending the notion of it...so yes in a way i would be plastering the wall in adhesive and putting the drywall...
Im looking at doing the plastering myself, but i know i do not have the skills required to use hardwall unfortunately...hence the dob and dab enquiry...or the 'super dob' as i may put it !
your suggestion is most welcome and certainly an option. i dont want to render the walls because that it is a skill i do not possess and something i would not tackle myself....but i do want to explore the option i have suggested a bit further.
