No not really but I have never heard of this before and they jailed someone for doing this near to where I used to live only recently. Had a not olde English name.
I can give you a tip then and it works................If you find something boring to read. Then dont read it. Only stupid people read something that bores them.
As for my job........... I'm an Irritating c**t.
No I am a Brummie. When I first went to the west I was amazed at some of the blokes. They had all grew up on the farm. They went to work on the building and still did farming later at night and weekends. They would graft. Completely different to soft west midlander types who just thought...
I used to agree with you Lurpy but one day many years back there was something in paper where they stated the running costs of a vehicle.
So I sat down and worked out all spent besides usual stuff like brakes, service tyres etc. So costs where cost of van over 3 years then sell for sod all and...
I bought one new the older model 2000. Drove like a bus and just as slow but I know they have improved since then.
I had it 15 years and 270,000 miles. It still did 50mpg. Only things in all that time besides brakes and servicing was 2 coil springs.............1 x roll bar bushes...

They dont even use 9"x2" joists anymore. Concrete beams are the order of the day now.
You would be hard pushed to find a Snowflake in the West of Ireland.

Pointing only fills the gap and stops rain penetration. It does not stick the bricks together again that only happens through gravity.
That wall looks completely shot and needs rebuilding?
If done correctly it would be unlikely that the plywood would move and cause cracking. As you say you were banging around inside and fitted other things to this wall?...........if so that may have done some damage as the render does not have any strength. You dont see the cracks straight away...
Very true but I think a great idea if you have to leave home to work away. It makes it more viable having no digs to pay for and van conversion would soon pay for itself. Easy to say when looking at it but never tried it.
Dunno but on docks where people moor boats and get supplies they have pumping out services where you empty your shite and get water fuel etc. These van people have a bog where you pull out a small tank and empty the shite out. Think its called a cassette toilet.
Thats one way of looking at it but in another way I like it because its some people just sticking their fingers up to the system and saying f**k you. These people champion it as they say it costs them nowt to live like this compared to buying or renting. Living on boats is getting big now as...
