    One decent coat m8 Flatten out with speedskim Leave it pick up well Little water ,sponge ,flatten in with spat (Refina 600mm)leave pick up Little water on paddle brush and trowel up with ox s*p*r*lex Dry trowel Job done 2 -2and half hours Little water works wonders

    Lend him a speedskim To be honest don't let him near it I've been plastering over 25years and this looks like the first wall I ever skimmed with a little training We all have bad days but still he's worked it until it set .bad day or not you Still leave your work to a decent acceptable

    Yea your half right with ice cube But try the cold and hot pad Put a pad in freezer when frozen apply to area when pad becomes defrosted put in microwave and heat up then apply same way heat gives a rush of blood to the area and helps repair muscle job done

    I wouldn't your asking for trouble Take the tiles off .what happens if the tiles become loose from their backing . Your boards become free floating The easy way is never the best way My motto is if your going to do a job do it right or not at all no offence
