do what i did mate sign up for college they do part time courses and night time courses to work around your job and then try get on with a spread.i was labouring for a plasterer for a year and a half and never got on the tools very often so i decided to go to college.i found myself a job at b&q...

today at college we had loads of companies in showing us new products etc - big companies in like morrisons and fhm.i had a bit banter with a contractor manager for fhm and i showed him some of the walls i plastered and he was well happy with my work so he said 'give me 5 mins'...

i have just got a start at b&q trade point while im doing my corse i had to take the job as my gaffer had a quiet period for a few weeks and i needed a constant income.I dont get my discount until 3 months which is 20% not to bad

when i finally get plastering myself what would you recommend me getting for mixing?? a decent sds hammer drill like hilti or a decent mixer?? i wont be going on site so i wont be knocking up big mixes ...

you might kno me daniel robson im from fawdon the lad is lee mckale i spoke to his sis on facebook because i dont have his number.i told her the crack and shes going to tell him asap he might be getting paid off but i said you would be happy with anything sort of experience
yeah kno it well my pal is a plasterer i can have a word for u he lives in fawdon i can have a word for you all he can say is no.but would be stupid to say no to free labour.i kno what its like am in the same boat im at college learning to plaster done a year and a half labouring sick of it.
knock up a small platform with scrap timber with a bit plyboard or somthing else on the top anything to get the job done mate try a wooden crate always in skips or in the back of industrial estates,pain in the arse dragging it about tho
