Thanks. Back of sika and febond say 1:1 or 2 sbr to opc. And creamy mix. They do state as you say not to let it dry ( 20mins max) before laying screed on top. assume working in smaller areas?
Thanks
Hi, i need to buy enough sbr and cement for a slurry under a very thin sand cement screed so it is bonded. 18m2. Its replacing an old now removed screed.
Whats the ratio and quantity needed.
Thanks
Tried searching but search engine will not search on sbr for some reason.
Thanks all. Levels were not great and window reveal was onto pb on brick. Face side was insulated board onto brick. didnt have much to nail into hence using the hardwall. Now sorted with some small clouts too. Thanks
Hi, I used a small amount of hand mixed hardwall to secure some beading around a window but it is powdery crumbly now dry so may need to do again.
Did hard wall dry too quick or is it a bad idea to use for small bead?
Used bonding on other windows a month ago and that seemed ok.
Thanks
I have plastered under the stairs but was not happy with the joins between curve and straight run so I have used jointing compound filler ( as used on tapered plasterboard)
Can I make this as hard as the plaster skim coat as I think it may be too soft to take knocks etc ( such as when people...
Hi, one is a spine wall , single skin, internal on concrete ground floor, bitumen applied well over 20y ago but now discovered.

Hi, House has some minor damp issues where the floor screed bridged the sand and cement wall finish.
After taking a off some very hard patchwork it reveals bitumen type blinded with sand on bricks so looks like an attempt was made over 20 years ago.
Removal of skirting has also removed 2 " high...
Hi, no ive not put in corner yet. It was just that i folded it in my hand and noticed some of them were snapped after folding. Try it. but if not a problem genrally then i will use from a new roll. thanks.
I have some gtec finish paper tape that was going to use on some tapered edge joins.
More skill needed on my part to stick it in corners with multifinish i think though.... ?
Its branded FibaTape - the last of the roll.
It would be a more accurate description for me to say that some of the mesh snap at the crease.
Is it correct to put this in corners then. Thanks
Hi,
I have installed a pocket door. The frame wall has flex as it only has thinner studs.
Is it suitable to put multifinish on this wall or will it be liable to crack.?
my alternative is just fill the holes in plasterboard with joint filler.
wall will be wall papered i think but felt plaster...
Hi, after bending a piece of FibraTape at 90 degrees i noticed it snaps along the crease. Should fibraTape only be used for flat joints and something else (if anything) used at corners?
My thinking is it cant prevent a crack if it breaks itself?
Thanks

I will board under the 5 straight treads and think i should use eml and bonding for the winders.
