Multi finish has always been shite, but it's a lot worse now a lot of people think that the plaster is half normal multi and half the non pva stuff because they couldn't shift it. Use Board or if you do use Multi your timings have to be bang on for troweling up,don't play with it.
Simple solution some people won't like it but if you're struggling with pains and aches due to trowelling up then use a sponge.
1st coat flat as possible
2nd coat straight away flat as poss.
Wet sponge and glide over it all gently
Wait 5 - 10 mins and flatten with a mediflex or s*p*r*lex.

Yeah I've got a 14" MT I've been using for 12 months but just doesn't seem to be sharpening and leaving a bit of a tiger stripe on the wet trowel, I'll keep on with it though
As the title suggests , I used to have a Marshall town Sheffield steel trowel but since it switched to Chinese steel can't naturally sharpen the trowel. Just wondering if any are still made from the good stuff?
