The last time I got a pro in to skim a wall he was half cut but did a really nice job. I’ve done all the plastering so far in my house and done ok but was wondering what’s the optimum number of pints to down to give me the ultimate finish.

I know what I'd do - just board it, mesh tape on the edges then filler after skimming. Where there's an edge with no joist to screw into use some Insta Stik on the old boards. Just interested to know what the pro's...
