has anybody got any experience rendering over ytong blocks . I've got a garden wall to do in s&c and I haven't come across these before , so wanting to know if I need to do anything different to prime them ? cheers.

Am I right in thinking weber ocr can rub up to give a smooth finish and be painted ? I've never used it and ive got a small plinth to do. Too much of a chew to use s&c for such a small area . Thanks

if you want sound advice on plastering , ask a joiner from mybuilder !!!

I'm going to bond or at least put bonding in the first coat but I'll still need to pva or something first .

done that before and works really well, just wanted to avoid putting about 3 coats of pva on ! and fancied trying something different to pva. ? cheers Andy.

I might overboard the ceiling andy but it's walls as well , artex everywhere. !

Ive got a load of artex walls and ceilings to cover, its all painted a mixture of matt and silk emulsion. Im thinking of blue gritting the lot to save me from putting coat after coat of pva on but ive never used it before. My question is I know it needs a minimum of 24 hours to dry but is it ok...
