Yeah a lot of sand a cement, but obvs don’t use beads under soffit. thin coat system different so wasn’t sure. Just out of interest are u actually a plasterer or just a dick

Hi guys, I’m doing a thin coat silicone system. Wasn’t sure if I should stop bead under soffit, as is all over the place, or should I just drop 10mm and level through that way ? Also do you you tend to stop bead round everything, how about going into a flashing for example, or quoins ? Ok...

Would you bother with acrylic primer first ? Or straight into painted walls? Thanks

Hi Guys, I’m doing an magnolia coloured Acrylic render for a customer. My issue is that I have white beads, would this be a problem. I’m thinking should be covered by the acrylic top coat so colour shouldn’t show. What you think? Thanks

Hi, I’m doing some 3 coat lime work. Should I leave the first coat to dry completely to advoid cracks on other coats, then just wet down before putting mid coat on ? Or put mid coat whilst first coat still has some moisture in, it so when? Thanks in advance

hi people, I've got a customer with Timber framed extension with aqua panel on! Wants pebble dashed to match the house, surely this will crack. Should I tape joint or lay a coat of rend aid on with mesh first , will that help, all suggestions welcome. Thanks

the job is a mix of old brickwork and new blockwork, some of the brickwork has been previously painted. Its fairly straight forward work other that.

Well its a mixture some on block some on brick some on painted so need to mesh i guess. Nightmare think ive under priced oops. do u think for 35 a metre im better of leaving it? could i maybe put a scratch coat of render on, then top coat with k rend to keep material price down?

That takes the piss people working for that are screwing the game up, your right can do a hundred metres a day for a bit, but f that. Other professions they have standard rates in our game everyone is undercutting everyone else. get what u pay i think.

Hi, done some k-rend work for another spread in the past but dont know how to price, theres about 100 metres. Does anyone know the rate incl materials, do i include doors windows as meterage? Thanks

Doing a slurry dash job, does it matter if scratch coat is totally dry before slurry, also backing coat is 4 to 1 i was going to do top coat 5:1:1 plus bucket of stones does that sound about right. cheers

Hello People, I've got aload of coining to do, never done before. Anyone know the best way to set out and what special tools to use for the angleded edges. I thought maybe a float with a 45 degree piece of wood stuck on? god knows. Anyway any help would be appreciated on this one. Cheers Dean
