    That sounds spot on. Thank you @RobJack – can I just double check Thompson's water sealer - will stop it marking and picking up hand grease etc? A parrafin wax - applied and polished with a buffer just for the shine? Using http://www.zinsseruk.com/product/gardz/ would be overkill?

    Found it thanks @Heritage Plasters looks to be the same as Punic Wax which www.mikewye.co.uk sells, but they didnt know if it would work with gypsum plaster. Your polish looks great – is that a bamboo floor?

    Thanks @zolco - got a brand name for the 2 part resin? My research points to http://www.zinsseruk.com/product/gardz/ which sounds ideal (if overkill and expensive)

    Hi I'm not a plasterer. I've had my flat replastered and I really like the pink mottled plaster look, reminds me of holidays in Italy, and I want to leave it as it is. But I'm aware that it marks and any grease, even from hands, will blemish it. So it needs sealing, ideally so it can be washed...
