    Labouring, starting out

Hi all, sorry to bump my old post. I just thought I’d update you as you all made an effort in posting your replies. I worked at Lidl for approx 6 months, I was promoted to duty manager and they wanted me to be assistant manager but I just didn’t want it, whilst there I was applying for...

    Labouring, starting out

Sorry slow reply, I moved house and had no WiFi. I took a job at Lidl for now, to keep food in the cupboards and to save for qualification. I called many plasterers and either they had a labourer or took my number for future, so no labouring offered. I’m still trying to keep at it, been tasked...

Just a quick update. Today I contacted 8 plasterers in Basingstoke area, 2 responses so far. Both already had labourers but are keeping my number for any possible future work, so the search continues. Your advice so far has been great, so thank you all.

Also some subs don't actually use active sonar (the ones you see in the movies), they have it but not used often. They use passive sonar

Thank you for your response, I would be happy to go self employed but I didn't know where to start to do that. I've offered my services for free labour for now, whilst doing that the plasterer and myself can discuss the next steps. Bloodymindedness and hard graft sounds good to me. This...

I am reaching out to any plasterer in Basingstoke, I am offering a free trail labouring (try before buy) I'm not scared of hard work or long hours. I am also willing, honest, have common sense which is trait that can't be taught as most of you know already. I would love to learn from you, I...

I would be willing to offer a free trail but do you think they would take the free labour and bugger me off regardless of how good I was.

Thank you, by all means I know I am not a plasterer yet but I want to be. The plaster was setting in the bucket towards the end of 1st coat on ceiling, and the shoulders!!! Work out and a half, really enjoyed doing it.

    Labouring, starting out

I'm happy to work hard and I have pride in my work. I am confident that any plasterer that takes me on will not be disappointed. I am an honest, hard working man and considered a perfectionist that pays attention to detail. I learn quickly and can definitely appreciate the banter. I make a...
