    Ewi vat

Yes, you have to still charge it out at 20% and your suppliers for materials will still charge you 20% but if your VAT registered you then claim the variable back.

Hmm, I was hoping to be working my way through a list of hungry interested members, you must all be stacked out?

    Plasterer/s Birmingham Area

Thanks, I gather that because your available only at weekends you are committed to other work/job? It's always handy to have numbers for people that can work at weekends, obviously they'd be smaller and/or less time sensitive jobs though but happy to have your number. Robin

    Plasterer/s Birmingham Area

As I mentioned in my opening post when I recently joined this forum, I am being asked quite a lot to quote for plastering work on the jobs we are externally rendering and act as the customer's principal contractor. I'd prefer to keep the rendering and plastering totally separate so I am...

Where to get parex natural white

Obviously any kind of existing structural cracks through brick or block that could be seen prior to any application then I'd put in a caveat/disclaimer and write that area/panel out, I'd have that conversation with the customer personally, as I have before, and make sure they understood it...

Where to get parex natural white

Well the tech guys for the systems we use on various projects come out to the sites and meet our/their customers and reiterate what we put in our quotes and give extra assurances directly, so as long as they do that I'll crack on.

Where to get parex natural white

I know, I don't need a lesson on render thank you and I don't need to read any small print. Maybe you should write to Licata and question their website comments declaring a crack-resistant system HERE! I'm sure they'll be chuffed to be told by you it's not possible and not guaranteed, even...

Where to get parex natural white

I don't need to read the small print or get into any pissing competition with you, we use high impact, polymer, crack resistant cement-free renders, period, and as such we offer 10 year warranties through the system developers we have used on those projects, they come direct from them through us...

Where to get parex natural white

Yes they do, if they didn't we wouldn't need to do the amount of meshing we do and extra mesh across all the stress factors to ensure against further cracks. All our quotations and guarantees cover cracking, flaking, fading, in fact any failure covering a minimum 10 year period!

Where to get parex natural white

Which is rubbish IMO and shows a total lack of confidence in the product, we give warranties/guaranties through the system developers we use for 10 years, 25 with EWI and I have them insurance underwritten through GDGC !

Where to get parex natural white

I use Parex quite a bit and they are very good at sending out large samples direct to your customers so there will be no confusion, I always carry a good range of large A5 size samples and their sample binder is also very good. If you put the G00 (natural white) next to a white painted house it...

Hasnt earned a penny on that job....

These houses were insulated with phenolic boards, they would have been better served using EPS, especially as they obviously only mechanically fixed the buards and didnt wet fix them also, and seeing some holes and gaps in them already when I was measuring in the area there was only a couple of...

Thanks for the welcome everyone, this will be around the crazy time I reply or post anything, I get more done admin wise between 4am-7am than any other time, the only downside is I'm nodding off in the chair and fighting to keep hold of the remote control by 9pm!

Thanks, he's done a house just across the road from me last week and my neighbour was very pleased, even though I think they knew him from before. I had him on the radar when I saw his van in my close.

Hasnt earned a penny on that job....

Every single house on the estate was the same with channels for the gas pipes creating meters of cold bridging.. and pins showing through the render! The tenants might have got it free all through a housing association who obviously did it on the cheap, but they don't have to accept this

Hasnt earned a penny on that job....

Unfortunately there are far too many inexperienced gangs out there doing the industry and those of us that want to do a great job an injustice. The customer has obviously selected them based on price alone and will be left with something scary! I recently went to price some houses in...

    Midlands Newbie

Found the forum by accident and thought, what the hell.. Currently just an external rendering contractor but looking to grow my stable and add some good all round plasterers as I'm constantly being asked to be the principal contractor on some larger refurbs where there's usually some decent...
