Hi guy! I've done a few walls in my house (practicing) and they're pinking off nicely and have turned off the radiators in each plastered room as recommended by previous plasterers I've used. But when is it okay to turn them back on?? it's coooooold in here :frio:

Lololol Just a cancer researcher learning some new skills so I don't go insane looking at a computer screen every day :) I don't claim to be any good at all this, yet :p

I've attached a wooden upright to the end of the brickwork with resin bolts to box out above the adjacent window. It's only 44mm deep with plasterboard in front to blend it with the brickwork. It's just a structural joint :)

Thx BigK: The brickwork originally had layers of old paint on and the British Gypsum tech support said I should use a mechanical grip product and bonding first. theclemo: the finish is pretty poor as its my first attempt and I ran out of bonding when layering up to my dots to level it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯...

Just finished a 5 day plastering course and am practicing by gutting and rebuilding my room from scratch. Started to level the old brickwork yesterday --using bonding plaster over blue grit, and dots as a guide; but ended up 1/2 a bag shy before I could finish all the leveling. So that killed...
