After 18 months I’ve just had to send mine off for a warranty repair . Kept going slow and fast . They put new speed adjuster on and now is good as new .

Not when overboarding . Want to see if it can be used by just putting up full boards without measuring to every joist . Most old houses are imperial and there is too much waste and cuts

That’s true . But I do a lot of over boarding in old houses and the joists are never right and end up with a lot of big off cuts .

I can remember using carlite finish over twenty years ago . It dried pink like multi . We used it over larges areas of hard wall because it took ages to set

I would tell them it’s an overboard and cove job . Every now and again I get caught out and the dreaded bubbles appear . Before you know it the ceiling is on the floor .

Blue grit doesn’t kill suction . Just provides a key for smooth surfaces . Try some sbr in your pva . Works a treat .

I had that stuff from R&j . It frays at the edges . The spider scrim from wack has got to be the best stuff I’ve ever used . Even better than FT50

I used the knauf in the early 2000s . Strange gear. Looked ok when painted but found it hard to judge when in needed a trowel

The MD of BG said last night there is no price increase but obviously can’t control what the merchants do

I was on the chat last night as I’m in the scheme . Not much to talk about really just that they are allocating supplies to all merchants in a fair and even manner .They are also going to send out half a pallet of finish direct to members homes

What’s sort of price is it ?

B&q is the only big boy who’s gonna stock it . All the other merchants are small independent ones . Are we the only trade that has to rely on one manufacturer of product ?
