Hi,I have a timber frame extension.it has cement board fixed on outside,needs a heavy,coloured rough cast finish.can it b polymer base coated and meshed then machine applied roughcast?what sort of m2 cost am I looking at materials and labour for whole system?any help would b great thankyou

I've found k rend gp render for similar cost,but it's the drying time I'd like to cut!is there is a ocr that can go on 15mm in winter conditions and b finished in daylight.i may try a couple of m2 test panel over nite on a damp wall n see how it goes

We have the mtec 330 from 1 stop,only used it for mono and ocr but been reliable and low running cost.maybe try hiring one for a job n see how u get on.

Dry block work for now but soon to b wet blocks I expect

hi,anyone with advice on machine applied sand and cement render pls as winter is coming and we have been using mapei mapewall gpr and it's not even gone cold yet n we r sprayed on by 9.30 n having generator and lights out till gone 6...any advice would be appreciated thanx

Fair enough big spuds.done a fair amount of thin coat on ewi and cement board tho never done over existing render,funny that 2 guys reply with a constructive answer ref a bonding agent or similar,yet u answer with,u don't know the first thing your doing!loser

hi,I'm pricing a large farm house,existing render is solid sand and cement with scat finish and paint.they wud like a thin coat render only system over the top!any ideas on bonding agents please?thinking render grip?

I've had 2 in the last 8months on my elbow,rest for 2days n try and spend a few days on light duties then it's great for a while then after a few months tennis elbow comes back,try and stretch as much as u can before and after work,and apply ice after hard days

same rotor and stator and consistency was nice but coming out the gun way to quick n then it was stinking of burning rubber and then stopped even working!only done about 3000m2 of machine applied mono render so still green when it comes to understanding the machine,why wud it come out so fast...

hi.we have a Mtec m330 and just replaced rotor and stator.we put the new one in and it was coming out way too fast then got really hot and was smelling like burning rubber!the motor and mixing paddle wasn't hot.we had to put the old one on mid panel and not over heating just quite slow coming...

I don't want to see the underside of cement board especially looking up at dormers etc.ive used a 13mm render stop bead back to front in the past but just wondering if there is a better product.something like a vented base rail like u use with insulation but for the cement board cheers

N funny u shud say that they r complete dxxs,nightmare to get hold of n they saying in the office that they will return calls n don't!!!the job was a bloody mess n bent over backwards to help them n they fuxk u.how was your experience?

A lot of old school boarders still use the single shot guns and bloody quick at it 2.hilti is top drawer!!

Jewsons do 3metre lengths.we find a staple gun is best to fix n a lot of staples!!!

Yes that's the 1 it looks similar but it's a lot cheaper.used Hilti n most dry liners use them coz they r the best but can't justify that much money for the odd job

We mainly do hand applied internal/external and jumped in at the deep end wiv the machine and still only done about 2500m2 so still green when it comes to using the machine 2 b honest,tho beading and finishing fine.found the serrated straight edge a great tool and I section makes light work of...
