How long before we're in trouble with money?

The Eu, has vanished in a heartbeat overnight and everyone has gone back to their national states. Italy,Spain the worst hit places in Europe have been well a truly abandoned by the eu. While everyone has become obsessed with toilet rolls the Germans have been stockpiling weapons. They must see...

How long before we're in trouble with money?

Fear is now the biggest currency, thanks to the media. All the s**t panic buying and paranoia is down to the media like the daily mail etc not the virus. They want to cull all the old timers and vulnerable. Heartbreaking

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Hey lads, did a 15m2 artex ceiling this morning. Applied the Alan Zombie dual mix, speedskim flatten, allowed to pull right in, 2cd coat went on lovely. The house went from an ice box to Tarzan hot in a week, they got a new boiler and the rads were pumping when I turned up. So that played a...

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Only 3 coats on 1 of the patterns which was heavy snowfall/ Avalanche pattern which I should of bonded out. I'd invested in the speed skim and bought into the theory of applying next coat straight away. Yeah I should of let it pull in. Good to be aware of mistakes learning the hard way. That's...

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Robbo, my friend, on 1 of the ceilings I couldn't agree with you enough. I was very unhappy with the look of it. Had that sea sick appearance, just wasn't good. Realy heavy artex, to much movement between coats (3). So I did the honourable thing and reskimmed it. I explained to the client and he...

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Zombie, overboard is something I could never do to you. I'm now a loyalist to your post apocalyptic the dead will rise special mix. Going off all your advice and the combination of the freezing weather, ice box house. it was me thinking cause I'd speed skim the first coat I could apply 2cd coat...

Artex ceiling, Zombie mix, strategy advice please,

Thanks lads, I put 3 generous bucket trowels in per 1.5 bags of skim. The house has been freezing, s**t weather all round. It's probably as you said applying 2cd coat way to soon and combined with to much bonding. Found the zombie very helpfull for the first coat. 1 of the ceilings was pretty...

Blue grit, pre grit, cemetone plasprime.....

Cheers lads about the other product I've not heard of, microgobetis . I was looking forward to using the blue grit but was disappointed how stodgy/ thick porridge the texture was. Thanks for the warming it up tip.

Blue grit, pre grit, cemetone plasprime.....

Used Feb bond blue grit for the first time the other day. It felt heavy the aggregate/grit compared to wickes which I'd always used but was going for something cheaper. Application wasn't as smooth as wickes, I applied with a brush though. Is it best applied with a mid pile roller? What's...

    Middle age and slowing down

It seems most men I know who are the wrong side of 40 are bang into fitness and power walking , sports and healthy living diets etc and all the women are heavy duty soaks.

    Middle age and slowing down

you have a healthy diet? In general I was constantly tired, fatigued, half arsed sessions in the gym. Cut out sugar and bad carbs in my diet, feel great energised. Check out Dr Eric berg on YouTube. He's the man. Plastering is so physically demanding, you need the right fuel in your system.

    heavy olde english plastered walls

Hi lads, spoke to an old boy and he didn't even know what the correct title for this style of plastering was but it was in vogue in the 70's and 80s.
