Have just got back from 3 week holiday in South Africa and was miffed to be back in Wickes buying plaster this morning. Then saw that multi has come down to £3.90 and bonding has come down to £5.06.
I was pretty chuffed and well pleased.
Hey lads, I've got 2 monster ceilings on a domestic job to do in the middle of the month. Is there anyone who wants to come to the Rugby area and give me a hand. Probably 2 days work in all.
Got to put up board then aqua panels to new stud work in a bathroom.
The panels are getting tiled, should I plaster these or not. As far as I'm aware there is no need to plaster over the panels but don't want to piss the tiler off.
Cheers
Anyone ever use dobuildirect.

Got this lady in a big ol house and in one of her 7 on sweet bathrooms she wants coving.
Problem is that the tiles go to the ceiling and she doesn't want to remove any. The tiles are old school 80's style, black, highly glazed with gold patterns. Iesh, really terrible.
Does anyone know if...
Got a blob in my left eye putting 2nd coat on a ceiling, washed in out under the tap and carried on. Ceiling looks like marble, my eye looks like a fricking road map and feels like i have a needle in my eye ball.
I'm wearing my glasses tomorrow.
Hey chaps, got to board out a room with 40mm gyproc thermaline super board (phenolic) and 22mm thermaline basic(poystyrene). They say to use normal board adhesive and the customer does not want boards to be fixed mechanically.
Just want to know if using board adhesive on these insulated boards...

Hi all, been plastering for pretty long now and I find that multi finnish goes through crappy stages throughout the year, like going off supa quick and big lumps of hard plaster(like stones), I then start using board finnish for a few months which I think gives a better and smoother finnish and...
Hi fellow plasterers, am about to start building an outdoor bbq using medium density blocks and I don't have a block cutter. I'm planning to use a lump hammer and masonary chissle to deliver swift accurate blows to cut to size, would this be the best option to cut to size without power tools...
