    Cheers Rich.
  27. M

    Aqua panel

Got to put up board then aqua panels to new stud work in a bathroom. The panels are getting tiled, should I plaster these or not. As far as I'm aware there is no need to plaster over the panels but don't want to piss the tiler off. Cheers

    limelite renovating plaster

Mate I've used plenty of limelite renovating plaster on listed buildings. Very nice to use, don't need to damp down walls, no cracking and ample time to go off so you can mix 2 bath loads at a time. The reps at Tarmac suggest using 2 coats board finish. Comes up a beauty, never had any come backs
  42. M

    Extras!

I try and make sure we both agree whats needs to be done at the agreed price, but I'm with murplastering, if it's a small extra i just do it but if its a lot more I will explain that the cost will increase and charge £35/ph extra. Then they can take it or leave it.

    mixer

Thanks for all the info guys. I popped into Gem Tool hire on Sat 8am and purchased a Refina Megamixer, my gosh what a beauty. Mixer was £260, I asked for a discount and they gave me the transformer for free. Replaced the brushes and cable on the old mixer, so have a crappy back-up.

Went to see a job today

Steve, sometimes the customers don't know what they want and it's our job to be honest with them and give them advise based on our experience and brilliance in making walls and ceilings smooth. I always give them a price there and then and if they want a written quote I'll post them one the next...
