Hey lee welcome =) 10 days to become a plasterer? Not gonna happen mate in sorry to say.. they aint worth a toss in my opinion, you wont be able to make a career off of one of those courses... i took a kid on about 18 months ago that did one in 2 weeks and his quick course was longer than his...
I wouldnt personally... although sometime you can get away with it if you use secondary fixings but thats not advised.. id still play it safe and rough and skim... if your wanting to board it id advise only boarding to the brick/breeze
Ive seen them boarded before.. usually timber frame to inside of reveals, set back for your plasterboard to come flush with existing wall, dont forget to slip a bit of kingspan down their though if you do ;)
With the size of the window im not suprised there are cracks appearing at the weakest point... id chop those cracks back to brick to check structure around the window is sound, id fix some EML to the brick rough and skim just to be safe.... as for above the window id scrape the loose plaster off...
So you would recommend it @lee1973? I had a rep come out on a job explaining how it works by creating a dpc but couldnt really imagine it been all that good, used it a few times but not really had the test of time as to wether it will come back
Their aint really any difference it is basically the name of the qualification, they are both assessed and governed by city and guilds and the CITB... NVQ basically means national vocational qualification... just to show its recognised nationally
I tried the dryzone injection method not too long ago but i really cannot see that working.. i always prefer the SBR,K11 method simply for the guarentee. Never had 1 come back at the old 1000mm so dont know why they upped 50% on to the height, thought it was to lone their own pockets with materials
Hey all im new here today, i said hi in another section... just wondering if anyone as encountered a problem i seem to have hit today... firstly i do a lot of damp proofing all the work is guarenteed through sovereign.. i use the labour staking.. anti-sulphate,SBR,K11 method, just received some...
