The crack is down the edge of the bead rigsby it looks like he has bashed the bead outwards whilst fitting the frame
Rendit gear is the best chance you have got of mending it or i would be tempted to render a band over each side of the door to make
a raised feature probly about 9 inches wide
Krend used to spec r7 to use on smooth concrete so i dont think it is just a sealer spunky , if you put the first coat of krend into it whilst it is still wet it all becomes one on the wall a bit like putting grit into it
Rx7 is similar to unibond in the way you would use it but much stickier and it will kill the suction, Ive used it over painted bricks with no problem but you are still relying on the paint sticking to the wall ,ive used it on smoth concrete aswell !
Krend do there own primer called rx7 ,You could apply that then put your two coats of krend on !
Its not as good as using a base coat but it works ! and probly comes out cheaper
That was dated 2004 :RpS_sneaky: ! Weber have changed their spec and only require a stress patch on the corners of the opening now :rolleyes) and mortar bed reinforcement
I thought rocketdog was buying the g4:confused: When you get desperate ill give you a jar full of pickled onions and some stale bread for it, but only if you chuck the genny in :RpS_cool:
Have a look here Rendit | Render Specialists | Render Repair the one you wont is the flexible infill fissure or something like that
Its like a pot of superglue and you just squeeze it into crack then dab at it with the end of your setting brush
Ive never seen anything fail on r7 :RpS_scared: and ive used it to do some really wrong things !,you would think with r7 and then tyrolean as a key that would have been a good base
Did the hp12 not stick to the r7 or did the r7 fail ?
Put the high build on with a trowl then use an ordinary painters roller with a cut down mastic tube over it to put the pattern in ,the smooth tube will give you the effect your after
Im not up on these renders cos i dont like the finish on them and think there s**t but that said could you not put something like the stoarmat classic over the sand and cement with a mesh in it then top coat ?
Madmonk Why would you wont to base coat over rendaid ?
Richard i love you and im sorry :P
pristine stick to 1 type of render and dont mix the systems ,try ringing weber and tell them you have rendered over s/c and see what they say ::)
This guy has rendered over sand and cement with weber which is pretty stupid at the best of times
Then another comes along and tells him to use weber rend aid with the magical mesh in it followed by a base coat made by krend
Then richard will be along in a minute to ask why these through coat...
