The whole length above the window is coming off basically. There's some old plasterboard around the window but I think it's only there. There rest of the room is just fine.

How much fibres per bag of multi

Or a bond it grit product? How would that fair?

What about just boarding the whole room apart from the ceiling?

Try some shoulder mobility exercises, foam rolling with a lacrosse ball. I can send you a few of these if you want or you can do some research shouldn't take too long. The shoulder mobility seems quite simple but trust me it keeps shoulders healthy.
