I have about 5 trowels but different size & two old ones that are very worn but all in all I use just two MT one 14 XT range lite which I spread with & 13 gold perma MT for finishing. but the XT range lite is a great trowel Imo. But thinking about getting the spatz too but not sure what size...

Here's another tip for ya on artex .If it's painted in over in v silk & clean there is no need to PVA it just lay straight on with multi as it's already sealed but only at your own risk lol
Your not wrong there pal multi has been crappie of late drying very gritty & sticky that's what I thought was happening remixing it with new back at bg
Imo artex is a nightmare & I say blue grit or overboard it ever time .When the plaster has gone on it sweats bubbles then falls off. had this before myself & I over board now it's not worth the hassle tbh
