my point about the depth of scratch was to do with the skim coming of,f you see it a lot too deep and not enuff leaving bald patches the skim dont key to

sounds to me he may possibly have put to deep a scratch on his backing coat by having nails too long. as for hairline cracks was there a waterproofer put in the s&c

most of the travelling was pre having kids so not really wanting to up sticks unless the dream job was offered.
