Thanks for a sensible answer. I been plastering 15 yrs honesty never been asked to plaster over painted brickwork. I have always dabbed it. I suggested this to the guy that wants the job done, but he doesn't want to shell out for materials he just wants it done cheap as possible.

Alright lads. Someone has asked me to price to skim out a kitchen. Problem is its bare brickwork painted with masonry paint. In all fairness it looks sound and flat nut needs a coat of something first. Any suggestions on what to use? I was thinking sbr till tacky then hardwall
