sounds like he had no intentions of payin bet he not even got another plasterer goin round i had it not long back we had words and he not payed me my 400 im still waitin 2 catch up with him good thing is the other spreads he had round were double my price his loss i say
sometimes old plaster will do opposite of wat its supposed 2 and not set properly only had it once a long time ago the guy had it in his shed 4 a year i didnt find out til later
rich thought your work looked tidy on ur site but if thats your work practices then maybe not i was taught as an apprentice and thats how we did sorry if i wont lower my standards as low as others
chunky and madmonk, why dont you flash out and buy the "masterplastering" dvd as advertised above...
you can still skim a 4 by 3 room in a mornin in 2 sets no wet corners easy no need 2 rush do a good job get more work reason its rough why mess about with wet corners it when u dont need 2
new plasterers use 2 mixes cos they are scared of messin walls up old timers like me just get it on and still get a nice flat wall maybe one day u newbies will do the same harsh but true :P :-* :-* :-*
done polished finish years ago 4 welsh water in there offices easy to do dont need a course real good effect though some bloke taught me in 5 mins tools r expensive though cant use normal trowel
is it me or is scrim crap nowerdays im findin when scrimin over cracks in old ceilins plasterboard mostly they seem 2 reappear when paintin im doin everything as years ago and this has only started happenin recently im usin wickes stuff any ideas on where to get decent scrim ??? ???
just finished a re skim of a bedroom pva'd yesterday went back 2 finish last couple of walls today and 1 wall pva had frozen anyone had this before turned out ok just wiped wall down with rag and skimmed as normal :o been doin this job 20 years never came across this before
ive always done both coats straight after each other and my finishin is good we are all taught different but if your way is best for you then dont change
