I'm deffo small time just caught off guard with it most customers never mention vat, I wish I was raking it in to be vat registered.

I never mentioned V.AT she asked me if price included it, it didn't becauseI didn't think v.a.t was anything I needed to consider from what I've looked up I'm no way near thresehold only started as self employed few months ago.

I'm not V.A.T registered just started trading in August when I registered spoke to HMRC they told me until I was earning over the threshold which was about £70'000 there was no need I'm no way near that after expensives etc probably on a loss this year.

Just priced up a job rang the lady with quote she asked is that including V.A.T I said yes but not exactly sure about all this kind of thing doesn't the V.A.T only affect her...sorry if this a stupid question but I'm rubbish at all that stuff. I can't really add on another 17.5 % now I still...

Went to do a quote, they said the last plasterer they had in said the ceiling needed to be reboarded, there was a crack in ceiling but nothing major bit unsure myself when do you have to reboard? looking at it today I wouldn't think it would have to be.

Your doing jobs after a 6 week course.......definantely gonna have to learn new trade lol will be priced out thinking about bespoke tiling in all seriousness is on another thread but there's so many do it all companies now independent plastering will be thing of the past :)

I plastered a bathroom they were getting a tiler in for small bathroom £500 am I in the wrong trade, looked into it I know basic tiling but there don't seem to be any courses in tiling alone reckon that's a skill looking at some of the bespoke jobs I've seen.

Plasterers: how much should you pay? - Which? Local I know its a no no discussing prices on here but seen loads of threads about cowboys, 6 week coursers doing it cheap there has to be a precedent.

I've been thinking that myself so many companies now do it all complete bathroom renovations etc I did do C&G plumbing just the theory so maybe wanna do more practical side saying that I did email one of the companies the geezer said he don't do the plumbing but just project manages and does...

The main reason I started this thread was I had a problem on a job which hands up I've never had before thought that was what this forum was about botched up plasterboard beading at top not meeting gaps between board and beading theres nothing behind the board just a void cos they've boarded up...

Just what I've got to start off with as only doing small domestic jobs so far got the roof rack for boards etc though haven't needed to use yet ideally looking to get a van eventually as and when just first ting that came up. It is possible to work out an estate just take tools you need each job...
