    good idea with the calgon, didn't seem to harm the ally profile of the speed skim took me about 10 minutes then scrubbed it of and rinsed it, i just use brick acid cause its quick, not that I'm a quick plasterer mind you:RpS_laugh:

    gave mine a good coat of brick acid and a stiff brush, works a treat! I love my speed skim best thing since electric whisks!

    could try banging a couple of nails either end then put a string line up and use that as a guide to set your stop bead.

    Be interested to know if anyone else has tried this ? recently bought an earlex sprayer in think its the bottom of the range model at £59, have been using it to apply p.v.a to walls and ceilings works a treat, not sure its any quicker but certainly less messy, I've been putting some food...
