Doing a house re-furb so today was my only day free, don't like pricing up after work as didn't get home last thurs till 9:30pm due to running round

If you actually read the thread mate the h/s/l are a completely different job the the artex ceilings!! God give me strength

the h/s/l is about 4 days work mate trust me (hell of a mess) plus the two artex ceilings need scrapping back as sit 15-20mm deep so need labourer in!!

Could of mate, but day rate was safer option as it was a lot of hidden problems and untill I started stripping back I didn't know what I was up against

Main point of this thread is other trades decorators/plumbers knocking our trade down..... 90% of jobs I quote I get it's just the other 10% who knows someone or work as another trade trying to knock us down thats what boils my blood mate

Some I price day rate and some I just price up the job!! with the hall stairs and landing it was a lot of prep work involved so went with the day rate

So in the other thread (3 gauges a day) the lads are saying between £400 - £500 for a room and you think £200 for a 10-11m2 artex ceiling is dear?? Each to their own I suppose

Finished with site work!! turned up monad to dot & dab 3 walls with a skim finish only to argue with the foreman about who getting materials (me or client) anyway after 3 hours of phone calls and bitching they end up getting me materials, so it's 11am...... Area manager turns up and starts...

Even tho in my opinion plastering is one of the hardest trades plumbers,chippys and brickies say they can plaster for a fraction of the price!! hence why I'm going back to college in sept to do plumbing!!
