Some people reckon they can but I can't, just use it for flattening. Don't get how ppl can finish with them, I've tried all different ways of using it and trying different timings, still no joy.

Yeah gone through two, personally I don't do too much s+c and both trowels got worn out both sides, I've put it down to running the trowel off of angle beads

Carry on doing what your doing and look for another job in the mean time. Tell your boss looking for other work as you need to progress in life. He might just let you on the tools just to keep you from straying

Sounds like either your not getting on the second quick enough or ur not applying enough water, I think if u purchased a s*p*r*lex trowel this might help
