No you run it down the blade to sharpen like sharpening scissors and it takes seconds and its about 4in long puts an excellent edge on the trowel.
Oh yes the midget trowel not got one in my tool box but my best buy this year was the adjustable internal corner trowel.

I've seen one used but the slide was plastic and worked really well. The metal slide is on the Marshalltown American site.

Been looking for this for ages even ordered one from America but never came. Transtools have the crimper but shame have to wait until May.
Seen one in action and saves loads of time Peter in sales assured me they will be in then so i ordered one...
ive seen one on a site i feel to be better than that, a cimper, has a goove that slides down the bead which you hit with a hammer and crimps both sides at once trying to import one from the states at the moment.

Seen a demo of this at a trade show, tired it and once you get use to it the time saved is impressive. Typical that i paid a little more than this price though.
