They look the business clemo I will be purchasing one of these in the future without a dought, until my apprentice is up to speed the L is fast enough for me to fall behind with the rule
nothing worse than doing a quote for customer to go through insurance taking the time to go out in your own time as we do to look at the job, listening to all their bullshit. even being sucked in to quote on the high side then not so much as a txt.
Hi guys hope everyones good I havnt been on in a while. just while on the subject of ritmos has anyone on here got the new ritmo plus/turbo whatever theyre called ? And what price are they going for? cheers
Put first coat of second lift on after 2nd trowel of first lift then fall back give it final trowel then your ready to flatten first coat straight away of second lift. Save you a good hour.
Think ill have a play with local sand first I have high hopes for it tbh. I'll let u know how it goes sure and can get some sent up if it doesnt work out. Cheers mate(y)
Aye that looks the gear there. Ive a house to float out soon im def gonna give it a bash, do u think it would handle 4000sq ft of block, the thought of hand balling is making me feel tired ha ha.
I like banana on toast with a cup of tea in the morning sorts u out til tea time. Then its 50/50 whether its sandwiches made at home or sasuage bacon egg baguette from the garage. I honestly do tell myself when im walking in healthy sandwich, healthy sandwich. but then I smell the bacon and...
I'm in carrick myself haven't been slack in along time, so things are def looking up. usally me an huddy sometimes 2 an 1. Prices are getting better on domestics but builders are still creaming like fook lol
Ive been on a few window schemes in around belfast an seen a few sights, think I've already told the story of the girl that Overdosed while I was troweling around the windows. Ambulance crew rolled in me whipping round troweling like fook around all the caos. Seen a few sights. Makes you...
Apologies for hijacking post but while I've got your attention can I ask you what's the possibility of getting the 480mm rounded spat sent to n.ireland by end of this coming week if I order now. And a roll each of dolphin tapes while I'm at it.
When you incorporate the price of prebagged in most jobs it scares the s**t out of the customers. That's what your up against in n.ireland bud, with respect We can't get the top dollar yous guys can.
I've a few tubs to go at on Monday and Tuesday I'm gonna have a try putting it through the ritmo, more heartache ahead maybe lol. Will let yous know how I get on.
i know its been talked about before but was just wondering if anybody has had any luck spraying sand and cement or have been thinking about trying to spray it. I know from reading some threads a lot has to do with sand your using, workability etc. as soon as I can get abit of free time I'm...
Nobody wins, the last comp still hasn't been settled yet. It's like taking on more work when Mr Jones has been waiting for you to start at his for months. Jus saying
Two houses I done recently in roughcast, one belle mixer myself and two labourers. I like the no pressure bit about roughcasting but the cleaning is a killer.
I had the same problem with polar white I couldn't believe the difference between the sample and what was on the wall. Luckily the customer was easy going.
Ok don't wait too long though I might be retired and won't be wanting to look at anything plastering by then. Untill then I'll just keep reminding you :bailando:
I let the hopper get too low and gear started getting pissy so adjusted the water and ended up with a blockage half the wall was on at this point stressing out rang Brian in a panick lol. Cleared out the hopper and flushed pipe tried to spray again, nope wasn't happening:muyenojado: pulled out...
I feel your pain bud, I used mine for the first time yesterday. Complete disaster and what a mess lol what should have been the easiest day in weeks turned out to be the worst.
I would like my own apprentice some day maybe my boy when he's bigger. He's only 6 months old and when he was born first thing I said was look at those hands they're def plasterers hands (or boxers) :boxeador:
True mate but here looking back thank fook those days are over don't miss the daily ball chewings either for leaving dirty angles and slight imperfections hated going in every day cause I knew I'd do something stupid an get a rallicking but again it's part an parcel of learning.
Couldn't agree more kitchy the only way to learn is from the bottom and if they stick at it and show good work ethic they will reap the rewards. I remember being apprentice I was keen as mustard hudding on big stretches trying to get enough up on the board so I could throw some on. Somehow I...
I've had an Iveco for three years or so, it's a good work horse. 8ft at the back and you've got the head height to walk straight into it good for pissy days for mixing if stuck and have had s**t loads of steel scaffold and planks in the back and still pulls well. Albeit a bit dead on the steep...
I've seen an orange sponge float being used over a couple of walls once and after the set was finished and coloured you could see loads of the lines from the sponge still, it looked shite! So I've never bothered trying it on any of my own work. But like been said probably just in wrong hands.
I...
